NOTICE OF PROPOSITION
June 1, 2008
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The following motion was presented at the March Union meeting by
D. Wheaton and seconded by P. Battista.
Motion to increase the monthly Union dues $1.98, the increase will be added to the Local’s general fund.
As per the UTU Constitution, Article 48 and the Local By-laws, Section 9 the proposed amendment must be addressed at three meetings separated by postings for membership viewing and voted on at two regular meetings, via secret ballot; if approved by a majority of the members who are in attendance at both meetings, the proposition will go into effect immediately following the stamp of approval from the International President.
The proposition was considered for the second time at the May 22nd meeting and voted on by secret ballot; the results are as follows:
